Legend Query

Legend Query is where you query the data a Legend model describes, without writing code. You pick a data space, which is what a model offers the people who use its data. Then you drag the properties you want from its classes, and run the query: the engine runs it on the store that holds the data, such as a database. You can save a query to open it again later or share it.

Pages

  • Getting started: a new query, the setup page, and opening a saved query.
  • Data spaces: picking a data space, its context and the class to query, its templates, and what it documents.
  • The query editor: building a query, its results, post-filters, parameters and constants.
  • Saving and sharing: saving a query and its changes, its info and history, loading a query, and sharing its link.

The screenshots show one data space, Firm data, from the project firm-model: firms, the people they employ, and the database that holds them. The Legend Studio guide shows how a project like it is written.
